The South East Cambs Badger Group was formed in 2019 as a result of the ongoing persecution of badgers in our countryside. The Protection of Badgers Act 1992 means badgers and their setts are protected by law and was implemented in response to historic and widespread persecution of this iconic mammal. Despite this, persecution and sett interference still exist today.
We rely on a team of active volunteers to help survey setts and maintain regular records. If you can help then please join our group. We will provide training and support and you can really make a difference in protecting your local badgers.
We are affiliated members of the Badger Trust.
